Stourfield Infant School has a rare opportunity for an experienced Headteacher with a vision for exceptional education. Serving the supportive local communities of Tuckton and Southbourne, the school has historically held a position of respect across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole conurbation. A school with an amazing future in a truly incredible location of the South Coast that is waiting for an inspirational and dynamic educator to help realise its potential.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of rapidly raising educational standards and maintaining school improvement, alongside a commitment to engage positively with local communities.

At our school, children always come first. Everything we do in school is to help the children feel safe, happy, motivated and confident in their learning and relationships. The school’s core values of respecting, collaborating and aspiring underpin everything we do.

We are a member of Twynham Learning - an exciting multi-academy trust of ambitious infant, junior and secondary schools serving the local community. Twynham Learning aspires to deliver the very best for our community.  In order for our children to be able to "take on the world and win", we need to ensure that every child receives a world-class education.  We firmly believe they are entitled to equality of opportunity and have the right to experiences which support them becoming confident, aspirational and resilient whilst grasping opportunities and succeeding.

In November 2021, Ofsted rated Stourfield Infant School as ‘Requires Improvement’. We firmly believe that with a new Headteacher, and the ever-present support of the trust, the school has the capacity for rapid transformational improvement. Within 12 months, we are positive that it can be ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ once again and deliver our vision for world-class education. Do you have what it takes to be the leader who achieves this challenge? If so, we would love to hear from you.
