Twynham Learning is overseen by the Trust’s Board of Directors and led by the Executive Senior Leadership Team.
The Board is made up of key people who have a range of skills and talent from the world of business and industry as well as those with an educational background. This ensures that the oversight and management of Twynham Learning is not only rooted in education but also draws upon wider expertise to support our strategic direction and financial stability. The Executive Headteacher, the Headteachers of each school and the Chairs of each Academy Council are members of the Board.
The Executive Senior Leadership Team is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of Twynham Learning. Meetings take place once every half-term and are chaired by the Executive Headteacher, currently the Headteacher of Twynham School. Each member school is represented at the meetings by its Headteacher or lead colleague.
The Executive Senior Leadership Team is a forum of mutual support where good practice is shared. The team concerns itself primarily with issues facing all of its members – both educational and practical – managing the benefits and economies of scale which are possible within a federation of schools. Whilst the team’s first priority is the educational achievement and success of our young people, it also oversees financial management, Human Resources and site management.
Each individual school remains responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in its own setting, and is accountable to the Trust’s Board of Directors through its own Academy Council.
