About the post

We are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to manage the delivery of all non-academic operations for two secondary-phase schools within Twynham Learning. This role will be critical to ensuring that the operational functions of the schools are delivered to a high standard.

Twynham School is a very special place with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. We are a heavily over-subscribed school where achievement is exceptionally high, students are well-behaved and eager to learn and relationships are very special.

The Grange School is on a rapid school improvement journey and, following a recent Ofsted visit (February 2021) we are confident that achieving “good” at the next inspection is very achievable. Working closely with Twynham School has created the capacity for continuous improvement and this post is one of a number of opportunities to work across both schools bringing even closer alignment.

There is an energy about our Multi-Academy Trust, Twynham Learning; we are entering an exciting decade for our schools, our MAT and our community and successful applicants can be confident that they will be working in a truly great environment.

This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a talented colleague who:

  • Has incredible moral purpose and a drive to deliver a World Class education to the young people of Christchurch
  • Will relish the opportunity to work at a strategic level across two schools serving the same community
  • Will act as the schools’ lead on all non-academic issues
  • Will be the operational link between the schools and the strong Core Services team within the Trust

Who we are looking for

  • A self-starter with ability to drive change to make processes more robust and / or efficient
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and gravitas to interact with School and Trust leaders on a regular basis
  • Previous experience of line management of others essential
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently essential
  • Previous experience of working in a school environment desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
