About the Post

We are looking to further develop our library resource at both Twynham School and The Grange School creating a hub of intellectual curiosity that is characterised by its vibrant, friendly, safe and welcoming atmosphere in both schools.

Twynham School is a very special place with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. We are a heavily over-subscribed school where achievement is exceptionally high, students are well-behaved and eager to learn and relationships are very special.

The Grange School is on a rapid school improvement journey and, following a recent Ofsted visit (February 2021) we are confident that achieving “good” at the next inspection is very achievable. Working closely with Twynham School has created the capacity for continuous improvement and this post is one of a number of opportunities to work across both schools bringing even closer alignment.

Who we are looking for

A suitably qualified individual to:

  • encourage the promotion of a reading culture and initiatives that ensure such a culture is achieved.
  • create high quality, innovative and student-focused services that provide students with all the tools and resources they need to improve their independent learning skills as they carry out research, exchange ideas and interact with their peers and teachers.
  • be responsible for the effective and financial management of the Library and resources ensuring it meets the aims of the leadership of the school.
