About the Post

 

We are looking to appoint a flexible and enthusiastic Admin Officer to join our expert team of admin staff in our large junior school. 

 

This role would be working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm and Friday 8:30am to 4pm (with a 30 minute lunch break).

 

Christchurch Junior School is a large, popular community school, which caters for almost 500 children aged between 7 and 11 years. We are an inclusive school and welcome children from all walks of life and all faiths. Our vision is to create a caring community of motivated young learners who develop the confidence, skills, attitudes and qualities to realise their full potential. Who we are looking for

 

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Ensure a comprehensive administrative/clerical and secretarial service
    • Complete appropriate data input and paperwork associated with student database and student subscription services (eg. Arbor)
    • Undertake general office duties
    • Receive telephone calls and take appropriate action
    • Provide support with the processing of incoming/outgoing mail

 

You are likely to be someone who

 

  • Has a minimum of 5 GCSEs A* - C (9-4) or equivalent office experience/vocational qualifications.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills
  • Has an approachable manner as there will be daily contact by telephone/face-to-face with the Headteacher, staff, students, parents and other visitors
  • Has the ability to work accurately and in an organised and professional manner
  • Relishes the challenge of working in an educational environment and effective team
  • Will embrace our highly supportive and professional culture
