About the Post

This is a fantastic opportunity for an excellent candidate to join our friendly and professional Twynham TGS support staff team and provide HR administration activities for our two federated secondary schools in Christchurch.

Twynham School is a very special place with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. In judging TGS to be “good” in all areas in December 2021, Ofsted recognised the efficacy and powerful opportunity provided by our federated approach and you will be joining an organisation that is gathering considerable momentum and has an absolute commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for the young people of Christchurch.

As the Senior HR Administrator, you will work on a varied and fast-paced range of HR tasks including recruitment, contract changes, payroll checking, training and supporting staff and leaders with their HR queries. Your goal will be to contribute to making Twynham TGS a great place to work, which in turn supports us in our aim of providing a world class education to our students.

You will be fully office-based, working full-time during school term-time (including INSET days), plus two weeks in the school holidays (that’s 11 non-working weeks per year during the school holiday periods).

Our Trust’s specialist HR team (based at TGS) are on hand to give you all the resources and support you need, and to refer complex HR matters to.

Who we are looking for

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about a career in HR. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in HR administration and have good attention to detail and strong IT skills. You will be highly organised and be an effective communicator. You will understand the importance of confidentiality and be confident when liaising with people at all levels. You will be a self-motivated person who relishes being busy and managing their own time and activities. Experience of working in HR in a school/education or public sector organisation would be beneficial, but not essential.
