About the Post

This is a rare opportunity to join a small team providing HR services to a group of six local academy schools and their support functions, totalling 600 staff. The role is part of a friendly and professional wider Core Services team who lead on Finance, Estates, IT, Risk, Governance and HR for our Trust. It reports to the HR Manager, and involves working closely with school leaders and school-based support staff who co-ordinate their own local HR and recruitment activity.

As the HR Administrator, you will work on a varied and fast-paced range of HR tasks including recruitment, contract changes, payroll checking, staff communications, case tracking and employee relations administration – no two days are the same! Your goal will be to contribute to making Twynham Learning a great place to work, which in turn supports us in our aim of providing a world class education to our learners and growing our Trust.

You will be fully office-based, working full-time during school term-time (including INSET days), plus two weeks in the school holidays (that’s 11 non-working weeks per year during the school holiday periods).

Who we are looking for

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about a career in HR. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in HR administration and have good attention to detail and strong IT skills. You will be highly organised and have good communication skills. You will understand the importance of confidentiality and be confident when liaising with people at all levels. You will be a self-motivated person who relishes being busy and managing their own time and activities. Experience of working in HR in a school/education or public sector organisation would be beneficial, but not essential.
