About the Post

We are looking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer to join our Twynham Learning Core Services team. This vacancy has been created following the resignation of our existing Director of Operations, and it is a rare and exciting opportunity to join us at an important stage of our trust’s development. We are looking for an outstanding individual who will:

  • be a member of our Trust Executive Team
  • be the Chief Financial Officer for our trust, including leading on our work with ESFA and audit functions
  • be the principal MAT Risk Officer
  • be accountable to our Trust Board’s Resources and Audit Committees
  • lead and manage our Core Services Team to deliver education support services our schools
  • ensure a culture of corporate compliance is developed, ensuring fidelity to our operating model
  • demonstrate exemplary professional conduct as an ambassador of Twynham Learning
  • promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • professional qualification(s) in accountancy – CCAB qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
  • a degree or equivalent graduate qualification
  • experience of delivering financial strategy and planning as a core responsibility (i.e. financial management at director/senior management level)
  • experience of managing a large team within an organisation as the accountable manager/director, with evidential impact of your leadership skills
  • worked within a management team at a senior level (managing a portfolio alongside other leaders/decision makers)
