About the Post

We are looking to appoint an inspirational and energetic Teacher of Design and Technology to join our highly successful department across both Twynham School and The Grange School (TGS). This is a rare and exciting opportunity to gain teach in an already high-performing faculty area and to further develop an exciting and ambitious curriculum that provides exceptional opportunities for our students.

With the Twynham School and TGS federation now firmly established in Christchurch the department has access to some exceptional facilities to support a world class Design and Technology curriculum. You will have the opportunity to work alongside nationally recognised leaders of D&T as well as the support of a talented team of D&T teachers and a highly supportive senior leadership team.

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have an honours degree (or equivalent) in D&T or a related discipline
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience of improving outcomes for students in Design and Technology as a classroom teacher
  • Have successful experience of teaching Design and Technology across Key Stage 3-4 in a state 11-16 or 11-18 school
  • Have an understanding of effective pedagogy
  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Have experience of delivering extra-curricular activities
  • Have the ability to travel independently
