Twynham Learning is overseen by the Trust’s Board of Trustees and led by the Trust Executive Team and Headteachers.

The Board is made up of key people who have a range of skills and talent from the world of business and industry as well as those with an educational background. This ensures that the oversight and management of Twynham Learning is not only rooted in education but also draws upon wider expertise to support our strategic direction and financial stability. The Chief Executive works alongside the Board to deliver the Trust Strategy, assisted by the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Standards and the Headteachers of each school (the Executive Leadership Team).

The Executive Leadership Team is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of Twynham Learning. Meetings take place once every half-term and are chaired by the CEO. Each member school is represented at the meetings by its Headteacher or lead colleague.  The meetings are a forum of mutual support where good practice is shared. The team concerns itself primarily with issues facing all of its members – both educational and operational– managing the benefits and economies of scale which are possible within a Multi-Academy Trust. Whilst the team’s first priority is the educational achievement and success of our young people, it also oversees financial management, Human Resources and site management.

Each individual school remains responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in its own setting, and is accountable to the Trust’s Board of Trustees through its own Local Advisory Board.
