About the Post
We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our team of 10 lunchtime supervision staff.
The duties for this post will start at 11.45 and finish at 1.15, Monday to Friday. (Pupils’ lunch break is between 12.10 and 12.55). Staff run a number of lunchtime activities each day to support lunchtime supervision.
Children eat their packed or hot lunches in our two halls. Lunch is divided into two sittings. Lunchtime supervisors are required to set up trestle tables, benches and chairs prior to the lunch break, and to clean and tidy away the furniture after children have eaten. For this reason, the post involves some lifting and handling.
The team of Midday Supervisors is managed by a Senior Midday Supervisor. The team meets on a regular basis with the Deputy Headteacher so that information can be shared .
Our school has values of ‘Belonging, achieving and growing’ which we refer to and teach explicitly in order to help the children become incredible community members. We also have a behaviour curriculum in place to support children and staff in ensuring the highest standards.
Christchurch Junior School is a large, popular community school, which caters for almost 500 children aged between 7 and 11 years. The children spend four years here.
