About the Post
We are in an exciting position to be expanding our SEND team. We are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic student services support worker to join our fantastic team at The Grange School. This role is focused on supporting young people with their mental health and welling. This is a great opportunity to work with a fantastic team of people.
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
- Support and promote the development and learning of the children with a variety of academic, physical, emotional, behavioural and social needs
- To work with children outside of the classroom to boost their emotional literacy and mental health.
- Liaise with external agencies to ensure the right support for the children.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
The Grange School is an 11-19 comprehensive school serving families throughout Christchurch. We have a diverse range of learners and we are recognised for our inclusivity and community approach.

Who we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you:
- have five GCSEs at A-C, including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications/grades)
- enjoy working with and can relate to children in and out of the classroom
- work with energy and enthusiasm
- are flexible with the ability to work as part of a team
- want the challenge of working in an educational environment
- want to work with like-minded colleagues who believe in the power of education to transform lives
- are first aid trained (or are willing to undertake training with us upon appointment)
