About the Post

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and ambitious Exams Administrator to join us as we continue to transform education across our town. Twynham School and The Grange School (collectively known as ‘Twynham TGS’) have a federated staffing structure, with an ambitious and progressive vision for the education provided by our two schools. We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Assist the Exams Officers at Twynham and The Grange Schools to ensure all internal and external student examinations are effectively planned and organised in a timely manner in accordance with exam regulations
  • Support the team of invigilators, making detailed arrangements for each exam sitting
  • Plan and produce timetables, seating plans and id cards for all exams
  • Arrange the printing of exam papers and delivery/collection of exam materials to and from all venues
  • Assist in all areas of exams administration where required
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have a positive attitude and relentless optimism
  • Enjoy taking the initiative and are a self-motivator
  • Hold five GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Are familiar with a range of school policies which may impinge on the conduct of public examinations, particularly those regarding health and safety, equal opportunities, behaviour management, child protection and special educational needs (SEN)
  • Are familiar with the Instructions for the Conduct of Examinations issued by the Joint Council for General Qualifications
  • Are able to work as part of a team and also fulfil tasks assigned as a sole-contributor
  • Are pro-active in seeking guidance when required
  • Have good IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Have meticulous attention to detail
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of different people and organisations
  • Have excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Are committed, resilient, robust, resourceful, keen and enthusiastic
