We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly organised SEND Family Liaison Officer to join our dedicated Learning Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting students with SEND and their families. Working closely with the SEND Team, you will act as a key point of contact for parents and carers, helping families navigate school systems and wider SEND services while coordinating support that enables students to thrive both academically and personally.

As our SEND Family Liaison Officer, you will:

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students, parents and carers
  • Support the identification, monitoring and review of provision for students with SEND

  • Work directly with students through one-to-one, small group and classroom-based support where appropriate
  • Promote inclusive practice and help remove barriers to learning for students with SEND

This role is an opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people and their families by ensuring they receive the support, guidance and advocacy they need.

This post is offered on a temporary one-year contract. National reforms to the SEND system mean that the way schools organise and deliver SEND provision continues to evolve. As the national picture develops, we need to ensure that the responsibilities of this role continue to reflect the changing needs of our students, families and the school. The post has therefore been established on a temporary basis while these developments are reviewed.

  • Work in a school where inclusion, wellbeing and high aspirations are central to everything we do
