About the Post

Our Senior Childcare Worker will provide high quality childcare for the children of Twynham Primary School. We aim to strike a balance for our children of fun activities coupled with tasks which are productive/educational. We aim to offer a provision that is valued and trusted by the community of parents/carers of Twynham Primary School.

This is an opportunity to work with wonderful children in our new purpose-built school-based facility, alongside a team of childcare workers who are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Term time working would be Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm and during school holidays would be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

 

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they:

  • hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification, and have experience in a childcare/nursery setting.
  • are committed to undertaking further training or development as required.
  • have a secure knowledge of child development and ways in which children can be encouraged to learn.
  • have the ability to establish good relationships with children, parents and other staff, communicating clearly and sensitively. Have awareness of the need for confidentiality.
  • can work co-operatively with the staff team and with parents to share knowledge and expertise for the benefit of the children.
  • are aware of the need for confidentiality
  • be committed to the principles of equality of opportunity for all.
