About the Post

 

Are you an organised, friendly, and efficient professional looking to make a difference in an educational environment? Our vibrant school community is seeking a dedicated School Receptionist to be the welcoming face and supportive backbone of our administrative team.

As part of our team, you will help maintain the positive and inclusive atmosphere that defines our school community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first line of communication for the school, both in person and by telephone.
  • Maintain visitor record logs and administer security passes.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the reception area, handling telephone calls and visitors efficiently and in line with school procedures.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and manage the school calendar.
  • Provide support to teachers and staff with various administrative needs.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 A*-C GCSE qualifications (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
  • Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
