About the Post

 

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our Infant school.

 

Stourfield Infant School is a large three/four form entry infant school with children from Year R to Year 2. At Stourfield Infant School, the children always come first. Everything we do in school is to help the children feel safe, happy, motivated and confident in their learning and relationships. We believe that children thrive in a caring and intellectually stimulating environment with plenty of praise and encouragement.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Have a minimum of 3 GCSEs A-C (9-4), including Maths and English, or equivalent.
  • Know and are able to apply consistently a range of school policies, particularly those regarding health and safety, equal opportunities, behaviour management, child protection and special educational needs (SEN).
  • Have the necessary skills to manage safely, the classroom activities, the physical learning space and the resources for which you are responsible for.
  • Understand and are able to use a range of strategies to deal with general classroom behaviour and also individual behavioural needs.
  • Take personal responsibility for your own professional development.
  • Are flexible and are able to use your initiative.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
