We are seeking a values-driven and aspirational individual to join our dedicated pastoral team as an Attendance and Pastoral Administrator. This pivotal role is integral in supporting our strategic vision of re-engaging young people, improving school attendance, and fostering an environment where every child can thrive. Working closely with senior leaders, Heads of Year and the Attendance Officer you will be key to ensuring that attendance is correctly coded and that the pastoral team is supported in ensuring that every child has access to the education they deserve.

If you are ready to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people and contribute to the success of a school that values its role within the wider community, we encourage you to apply.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Support the drive to improve attendance across the school.
  • Work alongside pastoral leaders who have considerable experience, supporting them to make a difference in young people’s lives
  • Work with young people and their families for whom attendance is a concern
  • Thrive in a role in which no day will be the same
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

What we can offer you:

  • A values-driven team with a vision for high-quality, inclusive education
  • Strong support systems and structures and a highly supportive and visible leadership team
  • The chance to work with other committed members of the Pastoral Team
  • Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • The opportunity to work within Twynham Learning; a progressive multi-academy trust
  • The opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of the South Coast
  • Free, confidential access to our Employee Assistance Programme, which offers a range of counselling services plus financial, legal and practical support from qualified professionals on a range of personal issues and access to online health and wellbeing resources
  • A trust-wide intranet, where we share our news, information and resources
  • Local discounts negotiated on behalf of our staff e.g. gym memberships, hair and beauty salons, chiropractic care, cycle shops, restaurants, motoring services, and retail/DIY stores
  • Access to national discounts on a wide variety of huge brands
  • A welcoming staff room with complimentary tea and coffee available throughout the day

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience of working with children of relevant age
  • Have experience of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Have evidence of further accredited professional development
  • Have a belief in the potential of all young people
  • Have an ability to build relationships with children and parents.
  • Work well with clear systems and structures and understands the need for process and compliance
  • Have the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including other professional colleagues and parents.
